Los Milagritos

The print of a gouache and watercolor painting of my sweet neighbor in New Mexico, who worked as a nurse for many years and is quick with an old remedy to help us through our coughs or cuts or complaints and how I dreamed of her as a young girl finding magical medicinal herbs along the mesa. Here though, she finds a flower called Yerba Buena, known to only grow in the bosque (a riverside marsh) on the mesa, a little miracle. A little snake watches on, a symbol of magic and transformation. This was part of my 2024 show in Santa Fe called Vibrant Matter.

This print is 9 x 12 in. printed on beautiful Arches cold press watercolor paper with archival ink. Signed, sold in a limited edition of 10.
