I've developed my in-person watercolor workshops focusing on watercolor and the imagination into a three session virtual watercolor residency!

We’ll consider the gorgeous history of watercolor painting and play with our own ideas about what it is to interpret the world in water + color.

We’ll examine three subjects closely:
Week 1: landscape
Week 1: botanicals and
Week 3: other things that breathe

Each subject will be explored through the (very fun) lens of imagination. Every week will have surprising projects while we learn to get to know the properties of our watercolors. We'll create unexpected palettes to find colors and patterns. You’ll learn new secrets about water, color mixing and brushwork to find beautiful new ways to move water and color on different kinds of papers. We’ll experiment with transparency and layering, form and composition. You'll learn secret ways to loosen yourself up to create gorgeous and fun illustrative watercolor work. You’ll leave this workshop having learned to honor your individual intuitive techniques and personal visions to create extraordinary instinctual watercolors with confidence.

I'll make also be making a new optional handmade watercolor palette available via LDBA Studio in Santa Fe but you can use any watercolors you'd like. Upon registration you'll receive a simple supply list and recommendations of my favorite watercolor supplies and books.
